Hope North’s mission is to educate and heal young victims of Uganda’s war and empower them to become voices for peace & development.
Hope North & Cause Effect Agency
Cause Effect Agency first worked with Hope North’s founder and former child soldier, Okello Sam, and actor Forest Whitaker to launch a partnership with Hard Rock, WhyHunger & Yoko Ono Lennon’s “Imagine There’s No Hunger” campaign. The campaign has raised over $150,000 since 2009. Cause Effect Agency also coordinated a partnership with “Clothes Off Our Back” raising over $140,0000 through sales of clothing & accessories. Other work with Hope North includes several fundraisers such as Hope North’s 1st gala netting over $160,000. These fundraising efforts have supported Hope North’s school in Uganda and room, board, an accredited education, vocational training, healthcare, arts, and activities for thousands of students.
