Forest Whitaker, Keisha Whitaker and Ringo Starr promote campaign launch for Hope North in USA Today

Our work brings me into contact with many talented artists, but this past Friday was a banner day, I met Ringo Starr… Beatle! We had arranged for Hope North to be included in an excellent campaign created and executed by Hard Rock Café and WHY Hunger. The campaign is called Imagine There’s No Hunger, and with Yoko Ono’s support, used John Lennon’s image and song to raise money for 8 grassroots organizations ending hunger around the world.
Hope North donors Forest Whitaker and Keisha Whitaker joined Ringo Starr for the launch. USA Today was there, and I spent time chatting with their journalist while the photographers snapped away. This excellent story, with heavy Hope North coverage, appeared today. [Update: the donation at the campaign's conclusion was substantial, it literally kept Hope North open through the winter of 2010! On behalf of the 210 students of Hope North, thank you Hard Rock, WHY Hunger, Forest, Keisha and Ringo!]
